What's Her Story: Born to Colby and Jean Carter, Linda (as her name was originally spelled before she herself changed it) exhibited talent from a very young age starting with local talent shows. As a teen, she was singing at the local pizzaria and fronting bands of her own. She entered Arizona State University in 1971 and then the very next year took the titles of Miss Phoenix, Miss Arizona and Miss World USA. In 1975, she ventured to Hollywood and soon got a small part in a series pilot (that didn't materialize). Soon to follow was the call that would change her life. Doug Cramer was interested in casting her as Wonder Woman in his live action television adaptation. He was convinced after only one reading that she was perfect for the part. After a switch of networks the 2nd season, the show managed to enjoy 3 full seasons before going off the air. In May of 1977, she married agent Ron Samuels later to split in 1982. In 1984, she married lawyer Robert Altman and took up residence near Washington, DC. She now has two kids, Jamie and Jessica.
