What's Her Story: Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Holmes began acting in high school theater productions but didn’t believe she had a chance at a professional acting career living in the Midwest. Fate intervened, and while attending a national modeling and talent convention in New York City, she met a manager who encouraged her to come to Los Angeles for television’s pilot season.  Holmes landed the part of Joey on the hit WB series “Dawson’s Creek,” co-starring with James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams. The show aired for six seasons.
